I am a Colorado licensed marriage and family therapist as well as a Colorado licensed addictions counselor in private practice. I have numerous certifications, which include Family Life Educator and Thanatologist. I am an AAMFT Approved Supervisor. I have been an adjunct professor at two higher education institutions while living in Connecticut where I taught and served as a clinical supervisor for 20 years.
My private practice specializes in working with families and individuals who are dealing with a myriad of developmental and acute issues, specifically with addictions, marital issues, family crises, grief and loss, geriatric issues, depression and anxiety, and death and dying.
I have served as a psychotherapist Parent Coordinator for high conflict post divorce co-parenting. Many divorce attorneys refer clients to me for the development of co-parenting plans in the divorce process. This allows the couple to work collaboratively to design a co-parenting plan that is truly in the best interests of the children while still pursing the divorce process through their attorneys.
I have written several booklets for parents who are divorcing as well as a book for counselors and educators on understanding grief and loss. Grief and Growth: A Manual for Counselors and Educators is available on ebook through Amazon.
